So there I was, taking my bros to school, in the picture above, I am the black arrow, and the blue is that dumb bitch Miss Luppi.

Right, so the coast is clear, so I pull out, when along comes that dumb bitch TEARING along the road, I pay no mind however, as I have enough clearance to turn comfortably. Anyway I turn and head towards the traffic lights to turn up right towards Ham road. Anyway the dumb bitch obviously annoyed that ANYONE IS ON THE ROAD, decided to tail gate me like the dumb bitch she is.

By the time i crossed the line, the yellow arrow had been yellow for maybe 1-2 seconds. By the time she crossed, it would have been red. FOR SURE.

So going up the road, I’m doing 60, she’s STILL TAIL GATING ME. YEAH RIGHT BITCH AS IF IM GOING TO SPEED UP just because you’re tailgating me. Go to hell.

Anyway, we pull into the primary school roundabout, i stop at X because there are already cars around the round about. She stops the car, gets out BANGS ON MY WINDOW. So i pull the window down, shes starts yelling: “WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR LICENSE FROM?!?! A CEREAL BOX? AND NICE WAY TO PARK, HOW CAN I GET IN NOW?  

me: ._. lulz what? he other cars had pulled away by then, leaving the space EMPTY, she could have gone around But NOOOOOOOOO.. i tried pointin it out, but obviously her levels of testosterone were farrrrrr too high and continues to berate me with insults. la la la whatever. 

Having reasoning with the dumb britney spears wannabe (think shaved head britney but with brown hair* So natutrally I tell her to go fuck herself as the whole drive to school she was acting like a fucking cunt.

Anyway, she goes on to say “ Nice language I can tell EXACTLY what type of person you are”

My suggestion is to download the 130mb~ish installer to avoid any hassles you may get with corrupted installers and the such. In any case, included within the installers  are the setup files for:

Writer (using it right now, not that much difference to the old one)

Photo gallery (installed, and dont find it too bad)

Email client (didnt install it, due to me having no use for it)

MSN 9.0 (using it right now, but have had a few hiccups here and there, as seen here.

Live call ( installed but yet to use it)

Movie maker (again, installed but yet to use it)

My opinion? Not bad for a beta from mircosoft. Get it and install if you REALLY must have the newest bleeding edge release of current microsoft desktop tools, if not, wait for the stable releases to come out.

Doing an international marketing oral at the moment. Its rather gay if you ask me. I mean, not only does it have to be pretty much 10 min long straight, with discussions (THERE WILL BE DISCUSSION), but its super gay. Thats what it is right there. Basically, what I’m worried most about is, if I will be able to reach my required length for the oral.

Its bullshit really if you ask me. Why do we need to go gay orals? Sigh sigh sigh @ QUT. Actually SIGH @ the whole freaking standard of testing in Australia. So yeah.

In any case, got about 622 words down so far. I guess another 500-600 should just about do it really.
Cant wait till holidays. Going to stradbroke for 3 days and 2 nights. Then come back for Lucas’ birthday party. Then just spend the rest of the time either with Eva or at home playing cod4. Woo. cod 4 !

Using the new beta version of Windows Live messenger 9.0

Its still in beta and needs a lot of work. Some things I have to note about the new beta are as follows:

-Most, if not all of the buttons and icons have been removed/moved
-Animated DP’s :O
-Custom sounds customizable for every contact. You can set your own personal sounds for other people to hear as well.
-Msn plus NOT supported from what i can see.
-Lack of skinning choices, but the main bar CAN be changed to 6 predefined designs. Also possible to design your own from what I can see.
-if you know what office 07 looks like, WLM has that look. Eg the borders and colour schemes.
-little bar at bottom of screen posts updates as they happen. eg contact posts a new dp. ( I would imagine this will get annoying with people who constantly change dp’s)
-when you get a new email and you click the shortcut, it takes you to the msn.com website instead of hotmail.com.
-removal of shared folders, since skydrive will be used
-you can see your contacts dp’s previewed in the contact list
-set new groups with favourites
-chat layout is changed to match that of facebooks IM client and SKype’s IM client. Instead of printing your name every time you say something. It just puts it all in, waits till your chat buddy says something, then will reprint your name. (sorry for bad explanation)
-sign in with multiple places at once, and log out from anywhere.

However, there are quite a lot of problems such as random crashes, random login problems and the such.

But overall I must say its quite good. Waiting for the final release though Guess I”ll just have to just be happy with beta for now hoho.

Yet again, the price of bus tickets went up again this week. A single concession, 1 zone will now cost $1.30. In other words, a 10c rise for singles which means a 20c rise for return. The Go cards have been changed so that when you touch on, you will get a 20% price deduction on a single. This applies for zones 1-10. However, you will need to take 10 trips in a week now to qualify for a 50% off fare. A single trip using the Go card will cost a concession card holder, $1.04 I Believe. 20% off of $1.30.

I was on the bus this afternoon reading a copy of MX, where someone wrote an article saying Brisbane council reports that some ridiculous amount of people are not touching off at the end of their trips, meaning that they get slugged with a $5 fine if they are concession. Brisbane council has “graciously” not raised fines for not touching off, but warns it may raise in the future. Wow. That’s pretty crazy hey? But you know what? Its not these peoples fault half the time !

Countless times I’ve taken trips on the bus to uni/on the way home and half the time when people touch off, either the machine is not working or not even turned on! Personally, half the trips I took when I had the go card, going to swipe the cards either gave me a read error or the reader wasnt even turned on….

Perhaps I am being a bit too over-dramatic here, but tonight I could have died. See, operative word here being COULD. If I had left the house say..2 minutes earlier, I would have been the one to be in a car crash.. See artists interpretation of the event that took place below after the jump:

This map represents the T-junction of Newnham and Wecker roads. To turn right into newnham road from wecker requires a green arrow. To turn left just needs a green light. Well I was sitting just behind 2 cars at the red light. So i was facing the park. The light turned green to turn right. So as you would, the first car moved into motion and turned right. When all of a sudden, out of nowhere, a car coming in the direction of the blue arrow came flying along and connected with the turning car. From what I could see, the car that was hit luckily sustained damage only to the rear right door.

As there seemed to be no major injuries sustained from either of the drivers of the two vehicles, I and the driver in front of me drove off. Which now in hindsight, was probably a bad idea, because I really should have got out and confirmed there was no casualties/injury.

In any case, the point of the story is: OMFG I would have died tonight if i had left the house a little earlier.

Its times like this, what is the point really of going to university? You spend tens of thousands of dollars, not to mention time and effort for what? A piece of paper that says your qualified to do something or other. I mean ok, lets go through this. At the end of a 3 year business course, are you really going to remember everything you learnt in 1st year?

I challenge anyone to show me one subject in university that you cant learn yourself. Why are we forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars and jump through these hoops of assignments and tutorials when someone who was truly dedicated could just read the appropriate books and gain the right work experience and be at the same level as a new graduate. I mean, in areas such as IT, people who REALLY want to get into the industry are more or less self taught. You don’t need to go to uni to learn how to use linux. Even computer noobs can learn how to use linux. (sorry im just resenting how much time I was forced to waste learning bullshit linux using terminal. Comletely put me off linux for ever…until i met ubuntu 8.04 live dvd..but thats another story..available here: ubuntu 8.04 <3 )

Tutors and Lecturers piss me off. Well not all of them. Some I can actually vouch for being good and decent people. However, the rest. Well the rest can go die in a hole somewhere. They’re just useless wastes of oxygen with over-inflated senses of self importance.

Considering QUT is the famous “university of TECHNOLOGY” , you would assume the staff would be rather tech savvy. I found it pretty funny that half the tutors and lecturers don’t even know how to use the IT equipment there, eg. light control with the touch screen, using powerpoint (I LOL’ed), 1 lectuere didnt even know how to login to QUT virtual. Her excuse was something along the lines of “I’m not a full time teacher here.” ..umm wtf? what does that have to do with anything? Does a part time student go, ahh shit. I don’t know how to login to QUT virtual either since im not a full time student? hmm guess i don’t need to do that homework anymore. hoho.

I want to meet the idiot who decided 8-10am and 7-9 pm lecs were a good idea. Sure, people who work need to go to uni in some cases too, so i get why these classes exist, however, it really confuses me when they FUCKING ONLY HAVE 1 CLASS at either of the mentioned times.

You know what’s worse? When you actually attend these classes, only to have the lecturer drone on for 2 hours in the same monotone voice while LITERALLY reading the slides. If i wanted to hear the slides read out,  I would have just stayed home and studied it myself.

Why not skip and read it at home you say? Well see.. i already do that. But the stupid part about it, is im paying ludicrous amounts of money just to have the privilege of attending these types of lecturers.

On the topic of lectures still, WTF is up with nearly all the classes in business becoming three hour straight lecs? FUCK YOU QUT. FUCK YOU. I know attendance in lecs and tuts are falling. BUT WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU CARE? YOU STILL GET MONEY. That’s not a valid reason for sticking us with three hour straight lectures.

TUTORS.OMG. TUTORS. hoho.  Uni tutors (notice the emphasis on uni tutors. I’m just a English tutor. We’re like a different breed. Plus, I’m FUCKING AWESOME ) can go suck a dick for all I care. Like i said, some are really nice people who make going to uni actually bearable. However, some. some are just annoying. Just because I dont smile at them or for some other unbeknown reason is no reason to mark me down on assignments/quizzes which are perfectly correct ok? I’m not one of those pro active students who will trip over themselves just to answer every one of your questions, but it does not mean i want to get involved in discussion either. OK? If i look away when i look at you. That means. NO I DONT WANT TO ANSWER YOUR FUCKING QUESTION ok? k. thx.

GROUP WORK.

Anyone know about QUT’s LEX surveys? Every time I bother to do it, I write something along the lines of, please, i would rather you cut out the group work components, even if i meant doing another piece of assessment or two, I would be fine with that. I’ll bet dollars to donuts that 99% of QUT students are going to feel the same way about this.

QUT’s stance on group work is “well when you get to the “real world” (WHICH I THOUGHT WE WERE ALREADY IN? !!!) you’re going to be working with other people, so now is a good time to get experience”

hmm. BULLSHIT. Yes. You will be working in teams. But here’s how it usually goes down. Your team meets up. The boss divvys up the work between you all. Then you split up and do your own work. Then just stick it all together in the end. And you know what happens if you do you work to an acceptable grade? YOU GET FIRED.

Not just fail the assessment. YOU GET FIRED. People don’t treat uni like work ok? SO QUT. CUT THE BULLSHIT. GET BETTER TUTORS. CUT THE FUCKING TEAMWORK SHIT. AND STOP FUCKING RAISING THE HECS/TUTORIAL FEES.

–> Market square is truly where the ninja’s go to park. i.e Making places that ordinarily arent parking spaces, into parking spaces. Even if it means mounting the gutter and parking on the footpath, or double parking an already double parked guy. o__o  so like..whats that. triple parking?

–> BBQ tempt is overpriced. Really it is.

–> Malaya corner’s afternoon tea menu isnt too bad.

–> Market square is an awesome place to hang out the whole night and to the next morning. Not to mention tea bar opens at 7am.

Sigh. Mid week through first week of uni and really, im already getting depressed again. This semesters timetable, believe it or not, actually managed to get more shit than last semester, despite the fact i dropped IT altogether.. But hey, thats QUT for you. Manages to fuck everyone else over even when you thought they couldnt fuck you over more. Kudos to you QUT. kudos.

Another thing, Rankins is it? You know that newsagent in the cbd outside hungry jacks? Biggest bunch of backwards trailer trash arse fucking noobs ever. I bought a zone 1-3 concession the other day, and the stupid dumb bitch tryin to be pro ..for no reason (there were only like 5 people in the line) decided to rush through everyone. It was like. take money. print ticket. scribble the details on the insurance form and hand over form+ ticket. all in under 30 sec. Thats pretty pro yeh? Yeh. . . .

IF SHE HAD DONT IT RIGHT = = dumb bitch for one reason or another printed out a adult daily zone 1-3..how the shit she got concession monthly zone 1-3 mixed up with that i wouldn’t have the foggiest.

However, i didnt actually realize she had given me the wrong ticket till the net day, so i went back to get the proper monthly. Anyway. To cut a long story short. It took a phone-call, a dumb bitch and the better half of 30min to get a replacement monthly printed. All the while, the fucken emo guy who also worked there was giving me the “stupid asians always causing trouble look” Hey emo guy. guess what? why dont you go cut your wrists and complain about how there is a difference between emo and goth. No “sorry about that”, no “have a free day on top of that” no anything. Blah. I suppose it still beats walking to central instead to get it from there. It would probably take more than an hour to get a replacement ticket printed there <_< not to mention red tape and crap to go through.

Hows ubuntu working out you ask? If you’ll refer to my earlier post, on here, you’ll know that I dual boot with ubuntu 8.04 (hardy herron) and vista. Well after fubar-ing (Fucked Up Beyond All Repair/Recognition/ Reason) my ubuntu installation more than 4 times, I finally got it looking like a mac. NOTE: LOOKING LIKE A MAC So it LOOKS like a mac. But doesnt suck like a mac. AMAZING! D: Other than that, its actually rather complicated to set it up so you can log into the wireless network @ QUT. However, I think i know how to do it now, and will proceed to  see how it goes tomorrow during the bsb122 lecture.

Yesterday was finally the day of Eva and my 3rd year anniversary  ^^ Baby, been going out with you for 3 years now, feels like more hey? I know i put you through so much crap and did stupid stuff to make you angry and all, but you stayed with me..
